A successful restoration

The 12 hectares of vineyards are composed mainly of old vines that have flourished in conditions of maximum sunlight, a climate of Piedmont and soil of clay and limestone (region of "Provence limestone"). This rich soil is perfectly suited to the vines of this region.

Since taking over the domain, the age of most of the grapevines offered real potential, however major restoration work was needed. We have therefore undertaken a very agressive pruning during our first winter of 2006 - 2007 to get back the best potential quality of each vine. The first harvest was in 2007 and the vines have regained much of their force in 2009.

Preparing for the future

The restoration of the vineyard continues with the plantation of Rolle, Cinsault, Syrah and Grenache blanc begun in the Spring of 2008.
